The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for serving arrest warrants that the various courts issue with Columbia County jurisdiction. Only the court that issued the arrest warrant will have records about that arrest warrant. Columbia County, NY crime data

Because there was barely any movement in the crime rates of Columbia County between 2019 and 2020, the local police registered 720 criminal complaints in 2020, the same as in 2019.

Of these, around 630 were filed against property crimes while the remaining 100 were against violent crimes.

Of the property crimes reported, around 100 were burglaries and 510 were larceny-thefts. Of the violent crimes reported, 55 were assault cases and 27 were complaints against rape.

Between 2001 and 2008, there was an average of approximately 400 crimes reported each year in Columbia County. Of the crimes reported, the majority had to deal with theft or burglary. During the ten years between 1999 and 2008, crime rates in Columbia County increased by over thirty percent while violent crime decreased by roughly three percent.
